Service Description

Ready to take your first shot? This class is perfect for you! Whether you find yourself a little rusty or you have never seen a firearm, this class will give you the confidence you need to safely and responsibly handle a pistol. Safety is our number one priority, without exception. The First Shot course must be completed before Second Shot or any subsequent training classes can be scheduled. Any person registering to attend this class can expect to experience and learn: - Skill Assessment - Firearm Safety Rules - Firearm anatomy - Stance - Grip - Presentation - Site alignment and sight picture - Trigger pull control - First shot - First magazine - Cadence - Holster and re-holstering - Presentation from the holster First Shot participants will learn and shoot with a .22 caliber pistol with the potential of shooting with a 9mm pistol. This class requires a minimum of three participants and a maximum of six. Each participant is responsible for bringing these required items to training day: - Ear protection - Eye protection - 100 rounds of .22 LR ammunition - A belt - Outdoor shoes for all weather with good traction. - Wardrobe appropriate for the weather forecast for the day of training. If you would rather rent eye and ear protection than purchase your own, you can rent from us. Please find the equipment rental on our shop and add them to your cart and checkout. When you do this, you will not receive anything in the mail. We will bring any rented items to the training day for the date you scheduled. IMPORTANT NOTE: The First Shot course is a 4-hour program that comprises two separate two-hour sessions. These sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays within the same week, starting at 6 pm and ending at 8 pm. Keep in mind that when registering for the course, you will only need to choose the Tuesday session, as this automatically enrolls you in both the Tuesday and Thursday classes, providing you with a comprehensive 4-hour training experience. If you show up to training without any of the required pieces of equipment outlined above, you will not be able to go through training and your registration is not refundable.
